eCW Cloud is eCW’s cloud based (hosted) EHR platform. By utilizing a desktop agent, the eCW EMR sends API calls back and forth between the practice workstations utilizing the app and the hosted environment, thus emulating an eCW on-premise database.
By using those same APIs the eCW agent is utilizing, Datavant Site Connect is able to extract the Datavant Site Connect standard data model in a similar fashion to other API based EHR solutions. Our API based EMR connections only require Datavant Site Connect to configure jumpSTART on our API servers, therefore no local installation of the jumpSTART agent is needed.

Practice URL
The Practice URL is the same URL the practice utilizes to access the EHR/PM.
Example: practiceabcapp.ecwcloud.com/mobiledoc/jsp/webemr/login.jsp
Credentials
To ensure Datavant Site Connect can access all necessary data points, we suggest a service account is created and/or provided with similar privileges as a Practice Manager or Administrator. This is strictly to ensure Datavant Site Connect will have proper access to the required data elements.

Once the URL and Credentials are obtained, Datavant Site Connect can typically begin data extraction immediately.

All data extractions are done in the evening at the designated time provided to Datavant Site Connect.

Datavant Site Connect only extracts what is necessary, based on the utilizing partners application specifications.
